Family owned and operated for nearly 60 years, Dave's New York features branded "Americana" rugged and casual clothing from iconic brands like Levi's, Carhartt, Red Wing, Dickies, Schott, Alpha, Ben Davis, Timberland Pro, The North Face, Columbia, and more. We're proud to offer a wide selection of styles and models at very favorable pricing.

 

Dave's is located on 6th Avenue between 16th and 17th streets, in the famous Chelsea section of New York, between midtown and downtown, and we are easily accessible by all means of public transportation.  We are open Monday- Saturday, except major holidays. We believe in personalized service with a friendly, multilingual staff. There are no bright, flashing lights, no loud music, and no high-pressure salesmen.  All this combines for a most pleasant shopping experience.

 

Founded in 1963, Dave's moved to its present location in 1999 and is managed by second and third-generation family members.  The store has been selected as Carhartt's "Retailer of the Year" and presented with the prestigious "Hamilton Carhartt Award of Excellence."  Dave's has also been featured on BBC's Rough Guide to New York, as well as chosen by Maxim Fashion, U.K., as one of the "World's 80 Greatest Shops."  In addition, Dave's has been featured in GQ style as one of New York's top "Retail Destinations" in their 2018 Holiday Issue.
