Tried to take a ‘policy’ out for my daughter. Despite trying to refuse marketing by telling the advisor I wished to unsubscribe this request was denied as it wasn’t in my name…..although I supplied details in the first place. I was then asked for my date of birth when we went through to the payment card stage. I asked why this was required as it’s not necessary. I was told for verification. This is rubbish as the payment service provider won’t have this information and it merely facilitates fraud in third party hands. I terminated the call and took out a policy with another provider even though it was £10 more for the same services.
