About Hill Military Medals

In 1988 at the age of 17 I followed in my Fathers, Brothers, Uncles and Granddad’s footsteps and joined the Guards Brigade. With an initial intake of 72 only 12 of us made it through the 6 months Intensive training and passed out. I was then posted to the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards (The Queens Company) - Where I served in the Former West Germany (Munster) when the East Germany wall come down in November 1989 (nothing to do with us !), and then front line combat service with the 4th & 7th Armoured Brigade (Desert Rats) in the Gulf War of 1990 1991 to Liberate Kuwait as mechanised infantry (Warrior IFV).

After the war I took part in trooping the colour and other ceremonial duties Including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, St James Palace and the Tower of London. Before leaving I was one of the Battalions Military Tailors and worked extensively with military medals and military uniforms in preparation to work with my father’s business Hill Military Tailors and setting up my own business Hill Military Medals.
