James Bishop Jewellery was founded in November 2000. We are a small independent business. The business started as a very small shop in Boutport Street Barnstaple, we had a small workshop with one goldsmith (James) and a gallery style store, after 5 years we outgrew the shop and located just 2 doors down into a much much larger shop. This enabled us to showcase a bigger range of individual designer jewellery & brands as well as our own designs. At this time the brand Lovelinks boomed the country and we were the largest UK supplier, yes us, in little old Barnstaple! We had 3 full time members of staff managing the website alone, along with 7 members of staff in the shop and 2 full time goldsmiths. In 2016 Boutport street was depleting in retail shops, we decided it was time for us to move to the main high street, so we relocated into the centre of the high street where we are today. We are very lucky to have a huge window area, that gives us lots of natural light to show off some of the stunning pieces of jewellery we stock. The business now is very commissioned based, but we still stock a large range of beautiful jewellery from just £10 + We have design software available on site, and a workshop with 2 full time goldsmiths.We are now a small team of just 6, our customers are our friends and we love nothing more than a friendly chat, there's no pressure selling here! You will always be greeted with a smile and we pride ourselves in 5* customer service.
