They don't protect you...
I had a very bad experience with XM.com.
Here’s my story:
I was a member for years, and in August, someone hacked my account (even though two-factor authentication was enabled). It happened on a Friday. I found out within a few hours and contacted XM.com through chat to cancel the withdrawal, as it wasn’t me, and I couldn’t log in. The support agent said my account manager would contact me soon. She didn’t contact me on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. She finally called me on Monday, but by then, it was too late. The hacker had already sent my money to PerfectMoney.com, who also refused to cancel the withdrawal. So, both companies allowed the hacker to steal my money.
I understand it might have been my mistake that the hacker accessed my account, but all they had to do was cancel the withdrawal in time, verify my identity, and it would have been resolved.
P.S.
I still can’t log in to my XM account…
