Horrible E-transfer service and Miserable customer service
If there was a way to give less than 1 star, I'd have given it to MoneyGram. I used to be a moneygram customer for years until today. Today, I decided to use their E-transfer, as I had to send money ASAP, and I was nowhere close to a moneygram location. But after spending more than an hour online and failing to send the money, I decided to call Moneygram customer service, they reluctant to help; after I told them that for some reason their website says "the transaction can't be processed, contact moneygram for further assistance", they didn't ask anything just said they are not able to help. Didn't even offer me any other options. Just straight, "Sorry, we cannot help with that". So, I chose to use Western Union, same fee but much more convenient and easier. I was able to do the transaction within 10 minutes!!! Western Union, you have earned my business for years to come! My advice to anybody, DON'T use moneygram, any service they provide you can find in WU for the same fees but better service.
